CITRO is a MSAR (Maritime Search And Rescue) Organization in Curaçao at approx. 12N068W, legally anchored in a private foundation, registered at The Chamber of Commerce in Curaçao, registration number 109110.

 

Main activities of CITRO are te search for and rescue of human lives in distress at sea. CITRO is governed, managed, run and operated by Volunteers. Every year approximately 70-80 lives at distresse in a approximately 55 SAR cases are handled by CITRO. All MSAR Operations are coordinated by RCC Curaçao, the Rescue Coordination Center located at the Naval Base Parera.

 

Thursday 5th of May 2011 CITRO celebrated her 35th anniversary. For this occasion a special logo was designed back in August/September 2010. The logo was to be used when communicating to the publics.

 

As you scan, see and read about CITRO you will also see this logo, being one of the visuals created by the late Robert Willems, dedicated Volunteer at CITRO who lost his life while in operations, 1-2 November 2010.
